Networking Unlimited provides highly specialized network design and troubleshooting skills. As a "boutique" consulting firm, our services are most cost-effective when used to extend the capabilities of competent, already available installation and support staff.

Design Services
Do you have a network requirement that is not solved by conventional designs? Give us a call. We may already have a production-proven design that we can adapt to your environment for a fixed fee. If not, we can investigate the problem, tell you if what you seek is theoretically possible, and work with you to define and develop an appropriate solution.

Management Consulting
Work with middle and upper management to determine if the network infrastructure in place (or planned) can meet business needs, discuss the impact of emerging technology on the business, insert a dose of reality into unrealistic expectations, or just provide a second opinion on critical issues.

Subcontracting
We can provide the competitive edge in terms of unique network capabilities while you, the primary consulting firm or value-added reseller, furnish the equipment, perform the installation and training, and provide the first and second level support. A Little History

Networking Unlimited, Inc. started life in 1987 as a sole proprietorship when Dr. Jones resigned from his position as an R&D Project Manager at Hewlett-Packard to begin a full time independent consulting career.
In 1990, Dr. Jones moved the base for his consulting business from Fort Collins, Colorado to Tenafly, New Jersey.
Networking Unlimited, Inc. was incorporated in New Jersey in 1998.
Today, Networking Unlimited, Inc. remains a privately held corporation whose stock does not trade on any public market.

About Dr. Vincent C. Jones, PE

Our founder and principal consultant, Dr. Jones, is best known as the author of the Addison-Wesley book High Availability Networking with Cisco. He combines in-depth theoretical knowledge with over 30 years of practical computer networking experience to understand the abilities and limitations of the TCP/IP, SNA, IPX, NetBIOS, and OSI protocol architectures; the optimal use of routers, switches, hubs, firewalls, and gateways in integrated LAN and WAN internetworks; and the state of the art and emerging trends in popular communications technologies. This allows him to go beyond "rules of thumb" and "documentation checklists" to develop functional, performing, cost effective network solutions that meet your specific needs. Since he understands the "why" as well as the "what" of networking, he knows which rules can be bent when necessary to satisfy unique application requirements and can frequently work around implementation deficiencies such as software bugs.
